Includes CD.Unlike a lot of peak time, big drop dubstep tunes, the drums on both Clack and Block are not secondary to big wobbles. And are pushed out of the woofer like some entirely new structure, somewhere between the break, the 2, and the dubstep.
Apparel Music is the platform, Chevals the protagonist, vinyl the material, end of March 2020 is the period of time decided for the landing of the Frenchman’s first solo body of work for the “lovers dogs” label. “Be Yourself” is the title of the four tracks EP by the artist which, by the headline itself, sounds like a declaration of intentions, an acknowledgement of his qualities as a producer, shaping up four different aspects of his creative attitude in a remarkable musical effort.
Through the combined brilliant minds of Fabrice Lig, Kiko Navarro, Karim Sahraoui and Jean Vanesse, the new musical force known as Quadra 163 has arrived. Working together in Jean Vanesse’s Belgium studio, their debut EP, “Spin Coaster EP” was born. Through intense live collaboration over 3 full days, the results are these incredible original tracks and a remix from the American house legend, Osunlade (Yoruba Records).
Limited edition of 300 copies. The musician behind Kord is an original member of Swedish cult electronic/acid oufit Frak and producing music since the late 1980’s. With Kord he produces a more synthpop minded kind of music most of the time. For Gooiland Elektro he teamed up with his partner in crime/love and came up with this raw elektro EP. These tracks are the perfect mix of crazy and twisted electronic music (a signature of his Frak work) and dancefloor orientated sounds since the late 1980’s, so we get served unpolished dance tunes with hints of EBM, new beat and (minimal) elektro. Non stop primitive disco for sure!
As with the previous 2 releases in the 3-part Grumptronix series, the A-side features the duo's most sought after tracks from their back catalogue. As with the rest of the series, the two reissue tracks are featured alongside 2 previously unheard, unreleased productions that were created during the same time period, at the same studio in Tampa, Florida.
Hidden Spheres is the alter ego of Manchester’s Tom Harris, who first made his mark on the underground circuit with his release ‘The Bloos’ on Moods & Grooves, before following it up with the much in demand ‘Waiting’ on Lobster Theremin offshoot Distant Hawaii. Here, Tom joins the Scissor & Thread family, the Brooklyn label founded by Francis Harris, and home to music that traverses a number of boundaries. Hidden Spheres fits right in - the five track 1985 EP blends house, broken beat, ambient, jazz and other elements into a heady brew.
