Since the get-go Pond Life Records has strived to combine jazz and funk infused instrumentation and electronic programming. Humble B Flat, who has helped define Pond Life’s sound has played true to this concept since his first release on PL001. Two years later, we are blessed with an four track EP that’s builds upon this blueprint - ‘Harnessed The Wind’.

Kangding Ray consistently fascinates the scene with his unique style that is bridging the dance floor and abstract electronic composition, talking equally to the mind and the body. His first record for Figure spans exactly that arc, introducing to the label something both for headphones as it is built for the big clubs.

Next up from Borft's hometown artist M Jupiter is this 12" which begins the A-side with a chord stabbin' dubby minimal workout "Over all rokky" followed by "Punk Your Tie" with eerie flanging sounds drifting around in the bass-driven and bleepy trip track. B-side opens with a snippet of fierce analogue sound effects track "Fowling Peas". B2,"Humic Acid" is a perfect Villalobos styled groovy and hypnotic minimal teasing track which grows along the way with several stories developing. Most of the tracks released by M Jupiter usually has a trippy feel about it and the last track of the record, B3, "Be Troublesome" is a cold and ominous dramatic trippy track with a great machine driven rhythm beat. -DJ Momenth
