Float Records 5 Year Anniversary is celebrated with a sublime release. Divided in 2 parts we've tried to bring the ultimate Float sound to your table.
Next up from Borft's hometown artist M Jupiter is this 12" which begins the A-side with a chord stabbin' dubby minimal workout "Over all rokky" followed by "Punk Your Tie" with eerie flanging sounds drifting around in the bass-driven and bleepy trip track. B-side opens with a snippet of fierce analogue sound effects track "Fowling Peas". B2,"Humic Acid" is a perfect Villalobos styled groovy and hypnotic minimal teasing track which grows along the way with several stories developing. Most of the tracks released by M Jupiter usually has a trippy feel about it and the last track of the record, B3, "Be Troublesome" is a cold and ominous dramatic trippy track with a great machine driven rhythm beat. -DJ Momenth
For our next vinyl release on Prodigal Son we welcome our newest recruit Kaylah from Hackney in London. His sound is tough & grimey, with captivating leads contrasting across this record. Old skool influences seem to be drizzled over this debut solo EP, but all in good measure of course, the music is forward thinking, driven with pace and ready for the rave.
Label Boss Emmanuel opens 2020 with a full-length work that represents one more time the evolution of his own sound over the years. "Time is Relative" is a composition that has the ambition to reach many souls with different tastes all at once. All the four tracks are produced and selected in different time zones, after a long craft in the studio/dancefloor and produced to give the maximum result on any floor in the world.
Purple vinyl.Seemingly out of nowhere comes Scorch, a new name with a fresh take on what some might consider industrial techno. His kicks are relentless, his atmospheres are dark and his approach seems to have some sort of strange, organic feel to it. The EP consists of musical renditions of what would happen if you would visit an old machine factory and install a state of the art artificial intelligence onto the rusty mainframes running the place. Oh... and it would be haunted by a bunch of mythical creatures as well... for absurdism's sake.
KiNK presents Home. This aptly titled EP is the debut release on the newborn label Sofia. Founded by Strahil Velchev and Konstantin Petrov, Sofia is not only the physical location where this music was made, the city where they met and developed as artists, but also a paradox that is reflected in the art and music that comes from the place.
