Planet Rhythm presents another V/A. Vinicius Honorio opens up the EP with some heavy kicks accompanied by a crazy synth lead. Room Records boss and Planet Rhythm family friend Berg Jaar brings his unique sound to this outlet. On the flip-side Rorsch makes his well-deserved Planet Rhythm debut with a beautifully crafted rolling techno track. After that, Linn Elisabet closes of the EP with a driving tune that's being lifted by some eerily stretched chords.
Clear vinyl.BNJMN returns to Bright Sounds with Sensei; following on from the foundations laid by his "Final Network" EP released in the spring of 2018 he again showcases the melodic, yet hypnotic and pulsating side of his sound that he has become renowned for. Starting with the almost house-like "Soared Above" synths fly over syncopated rhythms which build and then descend into something harsher and earthier. "Intercellular" goes somewhat harder, yet still retaining the hypnotism and lightness of touch which will suit most hours in the club. The title track is an exercise in restraint, one for the early hours when everything blurrs and only the space in between the sounds carry you along. "Walking Into Yourself" showcases the dreamiest side of BNJMN, in slowing down the BPM the producer shows the intricate details of his sound, letting the listener in on a dense forestlike journey.
Plants Dub is an art project of the homonym collective based in Lecce - Italy formed by Maria Teresa Santoro, art historian and light designer, Francesco Andriani De Vito aka Dubin dj and producer, and Andrea Presicce aka NoFinger Nails, dub master and producer. They work in Plants Dub project in a mutual exchange of skills so as to be able to research in a way where art and science has no borders. Plants Dub connects electronic music and bio-acoustic researches. Through samplings and synthesizers Plants Dub produces an inter-species communication in order to form a complete human-plant audio exchange. The album was composed using melodies generated by plants thanks to a special sound device that allowed the translation of the plants' electrical impulses into sound.
