Planet Rhythm compiled some heavy hitters on this V/A. Mainstay Yan Cook opens the EP with a synth-driven warehouse tool. After that the promising Phara takes over and Temudo & A. Paul kick off the B-side. Both tracks have an amazing drive to them. Veteran Takaaki Itoh rounds the Grizzly EP off with his classic hypnotic style.
UFO Inc. starts the new decade with fast, dark improv-techno tracks by the New York DJ, producer and singer Heidi Sabertooth. The four tracks on UFO4 are an impressive testimony to her passion for vintage gear and are the result of an interplay of mainly three machines with which she also plays live: Roland SH-101, Korg ESX2 Electribe and Yamaha DX200 - Sabertooth knows her tools inside and out by heart and tried on this EP to sound as "live" and spontaneous as possible.
Apparel Tronic comes back after the heat of summer introducing the first V/A on the catalogue as well as its 10th release overall (Varioustronic 1). This 3 tracks V/A is an ambitious project that unites 3 great artists with diverse approaches to music production, 3 different minds and visions, 3 declination of the same verb brought together under the same roof, our roof.
R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings pays homage to An Alien Recordings, the 90’s (and recently re-vived) UK Electro/Breakbeat label run by Andy Panayi and Alec Stone of A2. The compilation features tracks from label mainstays A2, Stopouts and Andy Panayi himself.
