When Smallpeople went touring Australia for the third time in 2016, we played a gig in Brisbane and had an amazing time hanging with James Hilan, a young gun from the local scene- a heavy vinyl collector and bad-ass DJ. He took us to the Wheel of Brisbane for our first Vape experience ever and after some good laughs we became friends. When James sent over some of his deep yet pumping tracks a few years later, we were blown away and when we played them out at our monthly residency at Golden Pudel in Hamburg, we decided to gave them a home on on Fuck Reality – so here we go! Typography and full cover artwork as always by Stefan Marx.
”Timeless”, Goldie’s first album in 1995, changed the face of the musical culture in England by democratizing the drum & bass scene, conscripting Goldie as a local star. But not only: with the enthusiastic support from artists such as David Bowie, he crossed the Channel and the Atlantic. However, while everyone was waiting impatiently the following of “Timeless”, Goldie had other plans: with “Saturnz Return” (1998) he came back with a concept album of 150 minutes (in its CD version), innovative, experimental and cleavable. 21 years later, his radical and innovative vision was taken up and adapted by many artists, from Carl Craig to Pete Tong. For the first time, thanks to London Music Stream label, “Saturnz Return” is finally ready to receive the critical reception it should have received when it was released. The avant-garde has become a reference.2LP heavyweight 180g vinyl edition in gatefold sleeve, printed with a metallic pantone. Printed inner-sleeves. Slam City Jams is back with its sixth release and welcomes a new face to the label: the mysterious producer, Westcoast Goddess, with his "Soul Out Of Time" EP. After releases on Shanti Celeste's Peach Discs (under his Videopath moniker) and Canada based Heart To Heart Records, this guy caught our attention with his amazing analog take on house music. Written and produced between 2002 and 2018, this record contains everything house music heads could wish for.
Label boss Keith returns for his third EP.
R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings pays homage to An Alien Recordings, the 90’s (and recently re-vived) UK Electro/Breakbeat label run by Andy Panayi and Alec Stone of A2. The compilation features tracks from label mainstays A2, Stopouts and Andy Panayi himself.
Escapism's 7th vinyl EP marks the return of Polish-Swedish producer Glos to the label. "Psalms" showcases his talent for producing quality peaktime-techno as well as his gift for storytelling, delivering three tracks that share the same foundation but vary in approach and intention.
